Practical, evidence informed education for therapists who want to think clearly, work skilfully, and move beyond outdated explanations.
Learn MoreTherapists need more than techniques alone. They need practical skill, sound reasoning, and a modern way to understand and explain hands on therapy. Integrated Hands On Therapy has been created for therapists who want to keep the value of traditional hands on work while building a broader, more evidence informed approach to practice.
Rather than focusing narrowly on fascia as the main explanation, the training reframes fascia from an anatomical and functional perspective and places it within a much wider understanding of touch. This includes current thinking on how hands on therapy may influence comfort, movement, body awareness, confidence, perception, and the therapeutic experience, as well as the roles of context, communication, expectation, and therapeutic alliance.
The programme supports professional growth by helping you think more clearly about what you are doing, adapt more effectively to the individual in front of you, and explain your work in ways that are grounded, credible, and clinically useful. On completion, you will receive your course certificate and can choose to be listed in our practitioner directory on the website.
Created for therapists who want more than technique alone, the programme helps you develop practical skill alongside stronger clinical reasoning, better communication, and a broader understanding of what hands on therapy may offer. Rather than placing fascia at the centre of the explanation, the training reframes it within anatomy and function, then widens the perspective to include touch, body perception, comfort, movement, context, expectation, and therapeutic alliance.
This programme recognises that many therapists are already thinking more critically. They are questioning traditional narratives, engaging more confidently with research, and looking for ways to practise that are both clinically useful and professionally credible. Integrated Hands On Therapy is designed to build on that foundation, helping you critique information more competently, move beyond rigid protocols, and develop a more collaborative, person centred approach to care.
The flexible structure means you can study in the way that works best for you. Therapists can attend the in-person workshops or purchase the online theory content separately. They can also choose the full blended programme for the most complete learning experience.
With supported self study, live practical workshops, ongoing guidance, and the option to choose the venue that suits you best, the learning experience is designed to be flexible, thorough, and directly relevant to practice. On completion, you will receive your course certificate for insurance and CPD purposes.

I would recommend Myofascial Release UK for so many reasons. The tutors, Linda and Ruth are seriously professional. They are seriously knowledgeable. They have international experience, their hands on expertise is second to none. They're incredibly intuitive. They can put their hands on somebody and just know what's going on and how to get the best out of somebody and where blockages are. Their theoretical knowledge is phenomenal. They just know so much about fascia, about the different handling techniques, about the different instruments that we can help use tools like foam rollers and peanuts, and balls just to help amplify the treatment that you give.
Ruth and Linda and all the other support tutors that help them make you feel they're approachable. They make you feel safe. They make you bring everything to your level of understanding and if you don't understand that they will go over it again and again. The amount of time that they give you to practice the actual techniques is phenomenal. So that when you have finished doing a course or you feel confident in being able to go away and put your hands on clients and make a difference.
So that's why you should use MFR UK, they combine theory with the practice so that you can then apply your own knowledge and expertise into what you're doing. So, go for it guys, use MFR, UK.
Very, very professional, very, very knowledgeable. Make it very safe for you and allow you to learn the most powerful set of therapeutic techniques that I've ever used. It's completely changed the way I do my practice.

From Myofascial Release UK. There's no doubt that we've all been faced with challenges due to the pandemic and we've all had to navigate through uncertain times. For us, as therapists and clinicians not being allowed to physically touch and help her clients was incredibly hard when helping is at the very core of what and who we are, and what we love doing.
Every one of us has had to learn to adapt and create a new way of working. We became therapists because we enjoy helping others to thrive and to regain our health and wellness and we are needed now, more than ever.
Myofascial Release UK has also been challenged with new ways of course delivery. Like you, we had to take a step back, regroup and adapt. After all, I also love helping people. I'm still a massage therapist at heart, and I love helping my clients to help their clients.
I spent months preparing courses to get ready to get back to work, so that I could give you amazing skills and effective techniques to do what you love doing with even more skills that will undoubtably grow your practice.
I want to show you how easy it is to learn online with us because we've got 20 years of experience, and we know that you will love learning with Myofascial Release UK. When you love learning something, it's so much easier to learn. You'll also find it's much easier to integrate what you've learned into your current clinical practice, so that you can help even more people.
This is the POWER of being EMPOWERED!
Hi, I'm Sue from Aberdeenshire. I think the most interesting thing that I've learned from MFR UK training was how we all trauma and stress in our fascia.
I like the results of the abdominal techniques and the anterior neck releases. My clients love them too. I recommend training with MFR UK because of the quality of the coursework and the tutors at hand to help in any way they can and to gain the best outcome for you professionally and personally.

Hello, I'm Wendy Corner from Perth, Western Australia.
I trained with Ruth and MFR UK about 10 years ago now for the first time, and why would I recommend them? As a training team, Ruth manages to get across the fascination and the real strength of what we do in our work. In a way that was powerful and lead you through the process.
I remember my first six days of training when laying hands on someone's thighs and I'm going, "I can't feel anything". And she is going, "just feel into it, just wait, relax into it." And that was fabulous. That was the start of a wonderful journey. It goes at your pace, takes you along at the speed that you can manage. It really encourages you to dig in deep to start to feel your journey. Feel your way through the bodies that you're working with. I've had some experience of training with other people as well. Ruth was just the bee's knees. Thank you, Ruth. I really appreciate it and one day I will get back to Glasgow, I will get to do some training with you again hands on. Thank you!
