Do you want to enhance your soft tissue and myofascial skills allowing you greater diversity to work with sports performance and rehabilitation?
This is a 2-day in-person workshop providing theory, current research and a variety of fascial and soft tissue approaches focusing on the restoration of altered or inhibited function in tissue caused by acute and chronic sports injuries.
This highly practical workshop is designed to deliver an integrated, whole-body approach to the treatment of some of the most common sporting injuries that affect both amateur and elite athletes.

Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of the workshop participants will be able to:-
- Select, demonstrate and apply both direct and indirect myofascial soft tissue approaches for sporting injuries
- Understand the importance of local and global approaches to treat adapted fascial tissue
- Understand the fascial anatomy, structure, biomechanics, function and pathophysiology as it relates to some of the most common sporting injuries
- Palpate, practice and apply treatment methods and modalities for a wide range of sporting injuries
- Understand the influence of evidence based fascial research in the management of sports injuries
- Demonstrate advanced theoretical knowledge and clinical application of fascial approaches based on current evidence based research
- Construct and integrate a fascial treatment plan into their existing protocols for sports injury management and rehabilitation.

Your tutor, Linda Currie BA

Linda haas been a manual therapist for over 20 years with a specific interest in sport and athletic performance.
She uses many soft tissue approaches including Myofascial Release, IASTM, cupping, dry needling, self-care and rehabilitation programmes.
Linda has a BA is in Sport in the Community and has extended her skills to offer bespoke injury and pain rehabilitation programmes across many populations.
She has provided soft tissue therapy for elite sport for over a decade including through the Scottish Institute for Sport, the Scottish Football Association and also for Team Scotland at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Linda is passionate about teaching therapists easy to use and effective hands-on skills, fundamental rehabilitation and exercise programmes to benefit their clients.

Who can attend ?
This workshops is suitable for all soft tissue therapists trained to a minimum of a Level 4 Sports or Remedial related qualification (England and Wales) or a Remedial and Sports Massage qualification (Scotland).
Level 3 Sports Massage Therapists can attend as long as they have 18 months clinical experience post qualification.
We also welcome Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Degree level Sports Therapists.
You also need to have a fundamental competency of the fascial system.
This course is not suitable for Swedish, Holistic or Wellness massage therapists, Beauty, Spa or energy therapists.

Q - Can I attend if I’m not yet qualified?
A – Sorry, no. We won’t be insured to teach you if you don’t hold professional indemnity insurance to practice.
Q – Can movement therapists or beauty therapists attend?
A – Sorry, no. Unless you also have qualification that meets our pre-requisites.
Q : I might arrive late or I have to leave early, is that ok?
A : We recognise that emergencies happen but we expect that you attend the entire workshop otherwise it may affect your CPD certificate.
Q - What do I need to bring?
A – We will email all the workshop details with what you need to bring once you book. You won’t need to bring a massage couch unless it specifically states this in the workshop information.
